Larry Mosser Obituary

Larry R. Mosser, 78, of the Lake Hauto section of Nesquehoning, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, March 5th at St. Luke’s Hospital in Bethlehem PA.  He was the husband of Diane (Snowich) Mosser.  Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late Herman and Marian (Yenser) Mosser and moved to Lehighton at an early age. He attended Lehighton High School and was a proud graduate of Penn State University. He worked for Bethlehem Steel for over 30 years in market research before sharing his expertise through 17 years of consulting in the steel industry. He was fortunate to travel extensively with his job and loved to see the world. His passion for trying new restaurants and dining created cherished memories with family and friends alike. Yet, amidst his professional achievements, Larry’s heart belonged to his beloved, Diane. His greatest success was his 55-year marriage to her, the love of his life. Rarely were they ever apart. They raised three beautiful children together and he dedicated his life to them. He was blessed with seven wonderful grandchildren who he always spoke about with so much pride and joy. He was the first to share any of their successes with the entire family. His favorite pastimes were going to their school and sporting events or spending time with them on his boat at Lake Hauto. A passionate supporter of Penn State football, his Saturdays in the Fall were dedicated to rooting for the Nittany Lions, whether from Beaver Stadium or his living room. Larry’s wisdom, sensitivity, and warmth endeared him to all who knew him. His sage advice and comforting hugs were always at the ready. Though he may have passed on, his spirit lives on in the hearts of those who knew him.  Larry was also a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Lehighton.

Surviving in addition to his wife Diane are sons Brent Mosser of Baltimore MD and Eric Mosser and wife Elise of Palmyra PA, a daughter Sally Kresge and husband Matt of Ephrata PA, a brother Terry Mosser and wife Lori of Richmond KY, grandchildren Emily Mosser, Christian Mosser, Evan Mosser, John Mosser, Alexis Kresge, Sophia Kresge and Trent Kresge. He was pre-deceased by a grandson Luke Mosser.
