Helen M. Stianchi, 88, of Summit Hill, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, December, 21st at St. Luke’s Miner’s Memorial Hospital in Coaldale. Born in the Village of Hauto in Nesquehoning, she was a daughter of the late George and Mary (Trusa) Stianchi. She worked as an Office Manager for many years for the former Kai-Jai Pants Co. in Nesquehoning prior to retiring. She was a member of St. Joseph Parish of the Panther Valley Roman Catholic Church in Summit Hill, and prior to that was a member of the former St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church in Nesquehoning. She served as a former secretary of the First Catholic Slovak Ladies Assn. and was also active with the Hauto Volunteer Fire Co. in Nesquehoning in her earlier years. Helen enjoyed spending time with her family and pets. She will be sorely missed. Surviving are nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by brothers Victor, John and Anthony Stianchi and by a sister Theresa Koomar.
Funeral services will be held on Friday December 30th at 11:00 a.m. from the Bruce A. Nalesnik Funeral Home, 57 West Center St., Nesquehoning PA 18240, with the Rev. Robert George officiating. Interment to follow at SS. Cyril & Methodius Cemetery in Nesquehoning. A calling hour will be held from 10-11:00 a.m. at the Funeral Home on the day of services. Contributions may be made to the Carbon County Animal Shelter or to St. Joseph Parish of the Panther Valley, c/o the Funeral Home. Online condolences may be expressed at www.nalesnikfh.com.
