Leonard L. Lauchnor

Leondard L. Lauchnor, 91, of Nesquehoning, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, July 17th in Nesquehoning.  He was the husband of the late Josephine (Sparich) Lauchnor, and they had been married for 71 years.  He was born in Lehighton and raised by his grandparents Sylvester and Ida Fisher.  He graduated from Lehighton High School, Class of 1948.  He was co-owner of the former Gasper/Lauchnor New Home Construction Co., and then was owner/operator of the Standard Blind and Awning Co. in Wilkes-Barre PA until retirement in 1994.   He was a longtime member of the former Zion Lutheran Church in Nesquehoning, and served as a former church council member. He was also a member of the Carbon County Builders Association.   Surviving is a daughter Deborah Sniscak and husband John of Hudsondale PA.  Services will be held on Wednesday, July 27th at 11:00 a.m. at Sky-View Memorial Park, Hometown PA.  Contributions may be made to the Carbon County Animal Shelter c/o the Funeral Home.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.nalesnikfh.com.  Services and arrangements have been placed in the care of the Bruce A.
