Mary K Limauro

Mary K. Limauro, 95, of Nesquehoning, entered into eternal rest on Saturday at MapleShade Meadows Senior Living Facility in Nesquehoning.  She was the wife of the late John A. Limauro, who had passed away in 1985.  Born in Passaic NJ, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Susan (Loyer) Krivenko. Most of her working years, Mary worked for the Federal Reserve Bank in Manhattan, New York City, in the Vault Room.  After retiring from the Federal Reserve, she later worked for Macy’s Department Store in Garden City, Long Island NY.  She moved back to Nesquehoning about 14 years ago and was a member of ST. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church in Nesquehoning.  Mary was a former Boy Scout Den Mother and enjoyed homemaking, cooking and caring for her children and grandchildren. 

Surviving is a son John C. Limauro of Hicksville NY, daughters Mary Lynne Desmond of New Bern NC and Lorraine, wife of Paul Salvato of Montauk NY, a brother Michael Krivenko and his companion Penny of Warminster PA, grandchildren Jacquelyn Desmond Cole, Michael Desmond, Kyle Salvato, and great grandchildren Ryan Cole, Brayden Cole and Gavin Cole.  She was pre-deceased by a sister Helen Trusa. 

Services will be held on Saturday, June 23rd at 9:30 a.m. from the Bruce A. Nalesnik Funeral Home, 57 West Center St., Nesquehoning PA 18240, followed by a Divine Liturgy at 10:00 a.m. at ST. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church, 141 West High St. Nesquehoning PA 18240, with the Rev. Dr. Vasyl Chepelskyy Officiating.  Calling hours will be held on Friday evening at the Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and on Saturday morning from 9:00-9:30 a.m.  Interment at ST. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Cemetery, Nesquehoning.  Parastas Services will be held on Friday evening during calling hours.
