Anna Eleanor  "Ellie" Berchock, 74, of Emeritus at White Chapel in Newark Delaware, formerly of Millsville DE, entered into eternal rest surrounded by her loving family at Christiana Hospital at Newark DE on Sunday December 28th.   She was the wife of the late Eugene S. Berchock, who died in 2007.   Born in Nesquehoning, she was a daughter of the late William and Agnes (Turello) Rose.  She worked in the Food Service Industry for many years as a School Cafeteria worker and then at the DuPont Co., and then worked in retail at the Hanes Store at the Tanger Outlets in Rehoboth Beach DE.  "Ellie" was active in the Newark Senior Center, was an avid reader and loved gardening.  But more importantly she was a loving  mother, and the devoted wife of Eugene for 48 years, and now they are joined together again in heaven.  She was of the catholic faith.

Surviving are sons Gino and wife Lisa of Atlanta GA and Joseph of Wilmington DE,  Grandchildren Nicholas, Christopher, Grayson, Hayden and Scarlett, a sister-in-law Patricia Rose of NJ, and former daughter-in-law Catherine.  She was pre-deceased by Brothers Daniel and William Rose and a sister Lucille Romano.

Services will be held on Saturday, January 3rd at 10:30 a.m. from the Bruce A. Nalesnik Funeral Home 57 West Center St., Nesquehoning PA, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Shrine of ST. Theresa of Liseau in the New Columbus section of Nesquehoning, with the Rev. Francis P. Schoenauer  Officiating.   Interment will be held at ST. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Cemetery in Nesquehoning PA.  A calling hour will be held on Saturday morning from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the Funeral Home.  Contributions may be made to the Newark Senior Center c/o the Funeral Home.  Services and arrangements are being provided by the Bruce A.
