Doris J. Coniglio, 81, of Nesquehoning, entered into eternal rest surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, January 5th at her residence.  She was the wife of the late Andrew Coniglio.  Born in Hazleton, she was a daughter of the late James and Ruth (Donald) Kishbaugh. She had worked as a hairdresser for 25 years and then continued working as an activities manager for the Lehighton Senior Center and then as activities director at Maple Shade Meadows Assisted Living Center in Nesquehoning.

Doris was a caring and loving mother and grandmother.  She always put her family first.  She was a devoted Christian who was very active in her church, Meed's Memorial United Methodist Church in Nesquehoning.  She loved being with her family and friends, playing cards, going to bingo and the casinos, watching Doris Day movies and was a devoted Phillies fan and loved watching the games. Her dogs meant the world to her!  If you crossed her, she could be a spitfire, but she always forgave you and never held a grudge.  She was a blessing to her family, and we thank God every day for having her as our mother and we will always remember her and miss her!

Doris is survived by a son Drew Coniglio and wife Shawn of Nesquehoning, a daughter Lori Taras and husband Matthew of Nesquehoning, grandchildren Andy Coniglio and companion Simone Felder, Autumn Coniglio, Ryan Taras and fiancé Jayden Gahman, Jacob Taras and nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by a sister Janet Gilbert.

Funeral Services for Doris will be held on Thursday, January 9th at 11:00 a.m. from the Bruce A. Nalesnik Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 57 West Center St., Nesquehoning, with the Rev. Michael Netznik Officiating.  Interment will follow at the Nesquehoning Protestant Cemetery.  A calling hour will be held on Thursday morning from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the Funeral Home.  Contributions may be made to Meed's Memorial United Methodist Church, c/o the Funeral Home.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.nalesnikfh.com.  Service and arrangements have been placed in the care of the Bruce A.
