Edward G. Nalesnik, 71, of 234 East Kline Ave., Lansford entered into eternal rest on Thursday surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Joyce (Murphy) Nalesnik, and celebrated their 24th Anniversary this past February. Born in Nesquehoning, he was a son of the late Michael and Magdalen (Callen) Nalesnik. He was a Roofing Estimator for many years for the former Polizzottto Roofing and Siding of Allentown. He was also a Veteran of the National Guard, serving as an MP attached to the Lehighton Armory. Edward loved gardening, woodworking and reading Western and Civil War themed books. He was of the Christian Faith.

Surviving in addition to his wife Joyce is a son Shawn Nalesnik of Summit Hill, stepsons David Murphy and companion Kim Snyder of Mahanoy City and George Stoffa and wife Wendy of Nesquehoning, daughters Lynn, wife of Edward Graybill of Virginia Beach VA, Michelle Nalesnik of GA, a stepdaughter Virginia, wife of Richard Snyder of Coaldale, brothers Michael of Gaithersburg MD and James of Bowmanstown, a sister Denise Smolar of Tamaqua, five grandchildren, five step grandchildren, three greatgrandchildren and three step great grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by a stepdaughter Natalie Murphy, a brother Lawrence and a sister Celestine Dougherty.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday March 15th at 6:30 p.m. from the Bruce A. Nalesnik Funeral Home 57 West Center St., Nesquehoning PA, with the Rev. Marjorie Keiter Officiating. Interment will be private. Calling hours will be held on Sunday evening from 5:00-6:30 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Veterans Services to be held during calling hours. Contributions may be made to either ST. Luke's Hospice or The American Cancer Society, c/o the Funeral Home. Services and arrangements are being provided by the Bruce A.
