Mrs. Pauline M. Roos, 82, of 677 Beaver Run Drive, Lehighton, PA, entered into eternal reward surrounded by her loving family on Saturday February 6, in her residence.  She was the wife of the late David J. Roos, a homebuilder who was born in the Hacklebernie section of present day Jim Thorpe, and who passed away in 2001.  Born in the East Mauch Chunk section of present day Jim Thorpe, she was a daughter of the late John E. and Susan E. (Hascin) Gmitter. She was a graduate of the former Mauch Chunk Catholic High School in Jim Thorpe.  During her life, Pauline had a variety of jobs, but was most proud of her work as a waitress and baker. Pauline was a long-time member of Saint Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church in Lehighton.  Especially during her later years, Pauline was thankful for the great support rendered by her loving family and friends, and caring neighbors.

Surviving are four children, sons Vincent and wife Linda of Lehighton, Eric and wife Lynn of Alexandria VA, daughters Maria Rezki of Mill Creek WA, and Cathy, wife of Charles Polete of Lehighton, a brother James Gmitter of Lehighton, a sister Josephine Walsh of Marlton NJ, five grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  She was pre-deceased by brothers Robert and William.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday. February 12th, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church, 242 N. 3rd St. Lehighton PA, with the Rev. Michael Ahrensfield Officiating.  Interment will be held at Packerton Cemetery on Beaver Run Drive in Lehighton.  Online condolences may be made at www.nalesnikfh.com.  Services and arrangements are being provided by the Bruce A.
