Theresa S. Koomar, 86, of Lehighton, formerly of Nesquehoning, entered into eternal rest on Sunday while a resident of Mahoning Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.  She was the wife of the late James Koomar, who had died in 1996.  Born in the Village of Hauto section of Nesquehoning, she was a daughter of the late George and Mary (Trusa) Stianchi.  She had worked for Amcor Electronics in West Chester PA, for many years, while living in Audubon PA with James.  She retired back to Nesquehoning upon James' passing in 1996.  She was of the Roman Catholic faith and was a member of ST. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church of Nesquehoning.  She was a Past-President of the First Catholic Slovak Ladies Assn.  Theresa was a good cook, enjoyed attending family activities of all kinds, and liked to knit items as gifts for her relatives.

Surviving is a sister Helen Stianchi of the Village of Hauto in Nesquehoning, and nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by brothers Victor, John, Anthony and George.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, June 30th at 11:00 a.m. from the Bruce A. Nalesnik Funeral Home, 57 West Center St., Nesquehoning with the Rev. James Burdess officiating.  Interment will be held at Sky-View Memorial Park, Hometown PA.  A calling hour will be held on Thursday morning from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the Funeral Home.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.nalesnikfh.com .  Contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice in her name.  Services and arrangements are being provided by the Bruce A.
