Wanda A. McFarland, 59, of Nesquehoning, formerly of Lansford, entered into eternal rest surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, July 25th at St. Luke's University Hospital in Bethlehem.  She the loving wife of Rex W. McFarland and they were married for 28 years.   Born in Palmerton, she was a daughter of the late Guy and Alice (Heffelfinger) Ulshafer and grew up in Tamaqua PA.

She enjoyed camping, going to the ocean and just being near the water.  She liked eating seafood, Chinese food, homemade hamburgers w/Swiss, mushrooms and grilled onions.  She was an avid fan of the soap General Hospital and watched it every day.  She was of the Christian Faith

She lived for her family, and was the loving mother of three daughters and nine grandchildren that she loved dearly.  Surviving are daughters Kristen Smith of Nesquehoning, Amanda Bledsoe and husband Andrew of Montrose PA, and Dezyrai McFarland of Nesquehoning, sisters Mary DeBenedict of Andreas and Nancy Heckman of Lansford, grandchildren Alex, Jason Jr., Degan, Ariah, Eli, Gabriel, Lenna, Colt and Lane.  She was predeceased by a brother Guy Ulshafer.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 31st at 11:00 a.m. from the Bruce A. Nalesnik Funeral Home, 57 West Center St., Nesquehoning PA  18240. Interment to follow at Sky-View Memorial Park, Hometown PA.  A calling hour will precede services from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the Funeral Home.
