Anthony C. Santore, 85, of Nesquehoning, formerly of Bethlehem, passed away Sunday in Nesquehoning. Born in Nesquehoning, he was a son of the late Anthony and Elizabeth (Mantz) Santore. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Air Force, stationed in the Far East. He then entered East Stroudsburg University attaining his Bachelor’s Degree, he then achieved his Master’s Degree from Lehigh University and then attained his Juris Doctorate from Temple School of Law. He worked as an educator for many years, first as an English Teacher in Warwick NY, then as a college professor at Muhlenberg University. He was of the Roman Catholic faith and was integral in creating O.L.M.C. Inc. in an effort to establish the ST. Theresa of Lisieux Shrine in the New Columbus section of Nesquehoning.
Surviving is a son Victor Santore of Atlanta GA, a daughter Jill Wetzel and husband Gehred of Factoryville PA, a sister Kay Ann Mulligan of Bethlehem and Four Grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by a brother James Santore.
