Evelyn Malaska Obituary

 

Evelyn (Chuma) Malaska, 94, of Nesquehoning, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, March 16th at Maple Shade Meadows in Nesquehoning.  She was the wife of the late Pete Malaska, who died in 1984.  Born in Lansford, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Anna (Hydro) Chuma.  She was of the Roman Catholic faith and had attended the former Our Lady of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Church in the New Columbus section of Nesquehoning.  Evelyn enjoyed shopping, casinos and going on bus trips with her friends. 

Surviving are sons Michael Malaska and wife Kathryn of Nesquehoning and Pete Malaska and wife Donna of Nesquehoning, daughter Michaele Kulick and husband Brian of Nesquehoning, a brother John Chuma of CT, and Grandchildren, Greatgrandchildren and Nieces and Nephews.  She was pre-deceased by sisters Anna Susko, Mary Vay , Sister Margaret Chuma and grandson Michael M. Zalik

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, March 21st at 11:00 a.m. from the Bruce A. Nalesnik Funeral Home, 57 West Center St., Nesquehoning PA with the Rev. Robert George Officiating.   Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Nesquehoning PA.  A calling hour will be held on Monday morning from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the Funeral Home.  Contributions may be made to St. Luke’s Hospice.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.nalesnikfh.com.
