Mary Budusky Obituary

Mary C. “Connie” Budusky, 85, of Lancaster, formerly of Nesquehoning, entered into eternal rest on Friday, February 3rd at Lancaster General Hospital.  She was the widow of the late Frank C. Budusky, who passed away in 1976.  Born in Pottsville, she was a daughter of the late Bruno and Bertha (Rusinavage) Tucci.  Upon graduating from Pottsville High School in 1955, she entered the Pottsville Hospital School of Nursing and upon graduation in 1958 was a Registered Nurse (RN).  She then worked most of her career as an Industrial Nurse for Campbell Soup Company in Camden NJ.  She also furthered her studies at Saint Joseph’s College of Maine, receiving a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in 1989.  She was a Member of Saint John Neumann Roman Catholic Church in Lancaster and was a former member of the former Our Lady of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Church, now known as the Shrine of Saint Therese of Lisieux, in the New Columbus section of Nesquehoning.  Active in volunteering in the community wherever she resided, “Connie” was a volunteer at the Dimmick Memorial Library in Jim Thorpe,  the Carbon County Meals on Wheels,  tax preparer for seniors in Ocean City Md, was on the Board of the South Jersey Chapter of the Red Cross, and was active in Church affairs.   She will be dearly missed.

Surviving is a son Charles Budusky and wife Karen of Lititz PA, a brother Bruno Tucci of Lancaster PA, grandchildren Maura L. DiColla, Samuel C. Budusky, Christopher R. Budusky, Linnae M. Budusky and great-granddaughters Madilyn and Michaela.  She was pre-deceased by sons Frank B. and Michael C., daughters Michelle and Constance and a sister Bertha J. Tucci.

Services will be held on Thursday, February 9th at 12:00 p.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial at the Shrine of Saint Therese of Lisieux in Nesquehoning, followed by interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Nesquehoning.  A calling hour will be held from 11:00-12:00 in the church prior to services.  Contributions may be made to The Shrine of Saint Therese c/o the Funeral Home.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.nalesnikfh.com.  Services and arrangements have been placed in the care of the Bruce A.
