Richard P. Galgoci, 66, of Nesquehoning, entered into eternal rest surrounded by his loving family at St. Luke’s Hospital, Bethlehem PA. He as was the husband of Mary Ann (Hydro) Galgoci, and they recently celebrated their 36th wedding anniversary. Born in Coaldale, he as a son of the late Joseph Sr. and Mary (Brezenec) Galgoci. Richard worked as a welder, previously for the Palmerton Zinc Co., and currently for Lehigh Anthracite in Tamaqua. Richard enjoyed classic cars, was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, and prided himself as a “do it your-selfer”. He was of the Roman Catholic faith.
Surviving in addition to his wife Mary Ann at home are a son Matthew D. of Summit Hill, a daughter Christina Marie DeVore and husband Andrew of York PA, brothers Joseph Galgoci and wife Marie of Lansford, Leonard Galgoci and wife Betty of High Point NC, John Galgoci of Lehighton, Oscar Galgoci and wife Judy of Jim Thorpe, sisters Dolores Zemantauski of VA and Evelyn, wife of Thomas Moyer of Coaldale, a granddaughter Stella DeVore and numerous nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by a granddaughter Katarina Joan.
